Is the Merzouga desert safe?

Merzouga Desert We typically suggest the Erg Chebbi dunes, located near Merzouga, for our travelers. These dunes are in southeastern Morocco and are considered very safe, with no concerns regarding “rebels” in the region. It’s important to note that this area is not the one mentioned in the U.S. Department of State’s advisory.
